During a road trip: Al-Sharqiyah-South-Sharqiyah in the year 1446 AH/2024 AD

Before leaving W.D Governorate, I stopped by a restaurant to try a delicious Saudi dish.

I was in a hurry because of the ten hours I had to reach my final destination: the eastern region of Saudi Arabia.

Then, I stood in a slow line because the restaurant had only been open for twenty-four hours.
None of the males standing in line were late to introduce me, as I am a female, a guest, and a passerby in their city, as is apparent from my features and appearance.

It saddens me that some amount of chivalry and honor has gone away. I don’t know if that is because of the battles between accounts, many of which are fake, that create hostility between the Saudi male and female and incitement clips that are done by quite a few of those who preceded their names with titles related to societal reform, as the content of their talk is about the female who... She began to get what the male gets. She is not entitled to it. Rather, she robbed the males of their rights! Such as a job, obtaining her right to separate, having custody of her children, and studying in majors and universities that she was deprived of until recently.

Or did I exaggerate in reading and analyzing the situation, and that they were a group of young men who were busy with their electronic devices and did not pay attention to the difference?

Note that during my stay and passing through the governorate’s restaurants and cafes, I rarely see females outside. It reminded me of the governorates of Saudi Arabia until the year 2010-2015.

At a time when there is what is called the religious police (the body of espionage, voyeurism, and incitement), which pursues us females and keeps us away from
Public parks, and if we go out to cafés, they lock us in booths, and if we sit in the miserable outdoor seating areas...they use their authority and warn the café, and if there is transparent glass through which we can see the sky, it will be blurred!

(These interventions were not in the small governorates, even Riyadh and its large shopping malls and eastern complexes)

Our absence at that time was an active act, but in W.D, I do not know why I rearely see women in restaurants and cafes.
