It was not a country on my travel list. That Asian destination I did not intend to visit soon for personal reasons.
In the second quarter of 2023, I decided that my next trip would be for spiritual and philosophical reasons. What countries are now on the map whose residents live according to the teachings of their religion?! Which countries do I see souvenirs displayed to tourists that are still tools used in religious rituals and not just products?
...I had not thought about Africa, its indigenous religions (as far as I know).
Primitive, beyond the human mind
I went to Asia...the intention was a destination, but God prevented me from doing so in a very strange way” (despite obtaining the visa and being close to him for an hour!
I was satisfied with another country and began to carry out a group of activities, but I was left with something that I wanted very much
..(! I tried, but I did not succeed, either due to the ignorance of those I asked, or because the place where there is knowledge contains devotional rituals in its programs, so I did not feel comfortable. (I am careful of polytheism, even if its form is: cute.)
I spent the day on a random walking tour that ended up in a café. I preferred to pause for a while to calm my mind and relax my body.
I stored mental images of passers-by passing in front of me, drinking my coffee and eating delicious apple pie.
I heard a conversation between two people, one of them a tourist and the other a local man who I guessed was a tour guide. His English is excellent and he spoke in a way that I found to be very well-rounded in his religion and other religions.
After the American tourist left, I wanted to confirm his profession in order to contract with him for tomorrow's tour.
He was not a tour guide, but a professor of philosophy with international contributions, and the American was his student.
The university professor invited me to his center adjacent to the café, where he was holding a lecture and an intellectual course. Suggest YouTube channels and a book group
The conversation was somewhat interesting for my curiosity.
This is how travel works: we do not return with new purchases only, but rather we are guided to new intellectual windows, through which we see additional paths towards ourselves and our souls.
